This unique and handmade piece is a gorgeous example of when French creativity meets traditional Indian artisan techniques. The print is designed in Paris and then applied by hand using a block print technique in our Indian studios. This ancestral tradition, honed by artisans in its originating country of India, consists of sculpting designs into a wooden block and then printing these designs onto fabric by manually pressing the block soaked in dye onto the fabric. The final print, irregular but unique, is created by layering impressions left by the blocks, each with their own pattern and colour.
